Assalamu 3alaykum wa ra7matu Allahi wa barakatuhu. Ramadan Kareem!
Mmm, this is my first Ramadan, I say Alhamdu lillah because it is finally here. I’ve just had suhoor, and I drank lots and lots of tea, a big cup of coffee (I want to avoid the dreaded “no caffeine headache”). The thing is I am a bit confused when it comes to changing my daily routine, and I am terrified not to make mistakes. I do not even know what would suit my eating habits when it comes to suhoor. Usually I have the first meal of the day late in the afternoon; in the morning I have only coffee and cigarettes (they acidify my intestines a bit too much, but this has never been a real problem). Ok, now that I am fasting, I am aware of the fact that I have to solve the water intake issue first. Checked. And when it comes to food… My goal is to eat light, so I should choose foods that have a high calorie for volume ratio, like dates or other dried fruit. Anyways, I hope I’ll come up with some sort of schedule, In sha Allah.
